The news release from Idaho State Police is as follows.
CALDWELL Idaho State Police are looking into a tragic collision that happened at 29484 Farmway Road in Caldwell on Friday at around 8:55 a.m.
A 49-year-old Caldwell woman was operating a black 1997 Ford Explorer north on Farmway Road.
The Ford Explorer crossed the southbound lane of travel, overcorrected, ran off the right shoulder, and crashed into a nearby field. The motorist passed away at the scene from their injuries despite not wearing a seat belt.
The Idaho State Police are still investigating this event.
