WA’s Spokane Valley A 58-year-old woman was arrested late Thursday night after a protracted confrontation with police over an alleged assault involving domestic abuse.
On July 24, 2025, at about 6:40 p.m., Spokane Valley Police Department deputies were called to a residence in the 10100 block of E. 15th Avenue in response to complaints of a domestic conflict. The victim reported to the police that he was assaulted by Tandy C. Parker following a heated altercation that started after both people had consumed alcohol. Investigators discovered Parker had access to firearms within the house, even though no weapon was used in the assault.
Officers saw obvious wounds that matched the victim’s description, and a witness at the site provided supporting details. Deputies tried to reach Parker after establishing probable cause for Assault in the Fourth Degree (Domestic Violence), but she refused to comply.
Deputies requested the aid of the Spokane Regional Air Support Unit, Crisis Negotiators, the SWAT Team, and other specialized units after obtaining a search warrant due to the suspect’s resistance to surrender and the presence of firearms in the residence. Authorities tried to defuse the situation and persuade Parker to surrender amicably for almost four hours.
After several failed attempts to establish communication, SWAT officers entered the house at around 11:00 p.m. and safely and incident-free detained Parker.
She was arrested on accusations of resisting arrest and fourth-degree assault (domestic violence) at the Spokane County Jail. Parker is being held without bond until she appears in court for the first time.
