Jennifer Sawmiller, PA-C, has joined the Palouse Heart Center at Pullman Regional Hospital. She will collaborate with Cardiologist Dr. Marek Janout to improve regional access to cardiology services.
Sawmiller, a licensed physician assistant, has expertise in both urgent and rural settings and has a background in general medicine and emergency care. Her work in emergency care, where she regularly treated patients with heart-related conditions, ignited her interest in cardiology. A deep enthusiasm for preventive cardiology and the long-term treatment of chronic cardiac problems was sparked by this experience.
In a statement, Sawmiller said, “I think it’s important to educate patients so they can make educated decisions about their heart health.”
She graduated from Boise State University with a Bachelor of Science in Spanish Secondary Education and Idaho State University with a Master of Physician Assistant Studies. She specialized in emergency care, women’s health, and the management of both acute and chronic illnesses at Cascade Medical Center in Cascade, Idaho, before taking on her current position.
