NAMPA (Idaho Statesman) — On Sunday night, a plane crashed in a residential neighborhood close to the Nampa airport, resulting in the death of three persons, according to officials.
According to the Nampa Police Department, officers spotted the crash in the 200 block of North Venice Street, one block west of the Nampa Municipal Airport, after responding to multiple 911 calls regarding it at 5:41 p.m.
According to authorities, none of the three passengers had survived when responding cops arrived. According to officials, the victims’ names won’t be made public until their families have been informed. According to authorities, the plane crashed into an empty structure. There were no injuries on the ground.
According to Nampa police, members of the National Transportation Safety Board were scheduled to visit the crash site on Monday to conduct an investigation, while members of the Federal Aviation Administration were present on Sunday.
In a statement, Nampa Mayor Debbie Kling said, “My heart is heavy with grief for those who lost their lives so tragically.” Their extended family is in our prayers and thoughts during this trying time.
The Idaho Statesman asked police for more details, but they did not immediately answer.
