POCATELLO For Lauren Hale, a 44-year-old mother of three from Pocatello, what began as a personal journey to understand her changing skin evolved into a full-blown career makeover beyond her wildest aspirations.
She is now a nationally renowned digital creator, bestselling author, and beauty influencer with over 800,000 YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok followers.
Hale has no intention of becoming well-known. She loved her career teaching special needs preschool and kindergarten for many years.
However, her viewpoint and skin altered as she got closer to her forties and started to feel the affects of perimenopause. She started looking for beauty products that would work better for her aging skin and came across SEINT Cosmetics, a business that specializes in makeup for women over 40.
Hale remarked, “I realized I wasn’t the only one struggling.” I set out to help others and began searching for answers.
Hale followed her intuition and left her teaching career to pursue a career as an SEINT makeup artist. She posted online instructions that emphasized age-appropriate, realistic makeup techniques for women in the same stage of life.
Although she had a small audience for her early videos, things changed in 2022 when her guide on the Dos and Don’ts of Makeup Over 40 went viral. Good Morning America was interested in the video and requested an interview.
My spouse picked up the phone when GMA called. Hale recalled that I believed it to be a joke. However, it was genuine. To record a piece, producers flew to Pocatello, which she said was a lot of fun! After then, The New York Post and The Daily Sun also published her account.

Hale reached an emotional ceiling in spite of her recent accomplishments. She started struggling with anxiety, despair, and hormone imbalances associated with midlife transitions at the age of 42. Instead of withdrawing, she once more drew on her background and her following, choosing to create a book that would support other women going through comparable difficulties.
On numerous occasions, I wondered myself, “What am I doing?” “I said,” she said. My spouse probably thought I was insane.
Girl, Put On Your Lipstick was the outcome. The World Needs You is a manual on how to live a genuine life and rediscover your passion in your forties and beyond. Hale did all of the writing, publishing, and marketing herself.
Hale stated, “I was afraid I would only sell one book, and that would be to my mother.” To her surprise, though, her book became a bestseller the day it was released on Amazon and was even featured on a billboard in Times Square, New York City.
Hale remarked, “I felt so happy and thankful.” It was a wonderful sensation to see so many women supporting me.
Hale’s blog and YouTube channel provide easily accessible, genuine, and filter-free tutorials created with real women in mind, while also endorsing a range of health and beauty goods, many of which are from Ulta and Sephora. From perimenopause-friendly skincare and makeup tricks for hooded eyes to supplement recommendations and time-saving beauty tricks like preparing your skin for a big day in a matter of minutes or producing an eye-catching look with just two shades, her content covers it all.
Hale acknowledges that even while she is succeeding in her second act, self-doubt still occasionally surfaces, particularly when she reads hurtful or cruel remarks made online.
Hale is steadfast in his resolve to help and inspire others, though. She provides guidance for women of all ages, despite her emphasis on empowering women over 40.
You are already sufficient, regardless of your age or what others may say. According to her, if you decide to believe the negativity, it may prevent you from achieving your goals. Trust your gut. Serve others and accept yourself where you are. The rest will work itself out.
Hale is pleased with her life at the moment, concentrating on content creation, spending time with her husband and kids, and thinking about giving speeches.
I’m thrilled that I changed careers. She remarked, “I’m living a dream and doing things I never imagined.” Following your heart is something you can do at any time.
