Plane crashed into the Palisades Reservoir; pilot uninjured in the crash

The Swan Valley On Monday morning, a jet struck the Palisades Reservoir. The pilot’s injuries were not life-threatening.

The collision happened at approximately 11:11 a.m. while the pilot was either trying to land or take off from the Alpine Airport in Alpine, Wyoming, according to Sgt. Bryan Lovell, spokesman for the Bonneville County Sheriff’s Office, who talked to EastIdahoNews.com.

According to Lovell, a member of the village arrived at the crash site in a boat and picked up the pilot. According to him, the pilot had non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to Alpine’s Star Valley Health.

Since 2024, this is the second time an aircraft has crashed close to Palisades Reservoir during the week of the Fourth of July weekend.
