LAPWAI, ID A 56-year-old male was arrested on August 10, 2025, by a Nez Perce Tribal Police officer during a routine patrol along U.S. Highway 12 in Orofino. The officer checked the registration of a 2005 Cadillac after noticing a damaged windshield. The driver, identified as Roger Jorgenson, had an active arrest warrant in Nez Perce County, according to the search results.
The officer conducted a traffic stop in the Hayes Food parking lot after verifying Jorgenson’s identity based on a physical description sent by dispatch. Jorgenson gave permission for the car to be searched during the stop. Officers found drug paraphernalia and a trafficking quantity of methamphetamine.
Jorgenson was consequently taken into custody on several accusations, including criminal possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, and the Nez Perce County warrant.
