Millions of garden hoses recalled after reports of product bursting

The Consumer Product Safety Commission has announced a recall of over 3.5 million Hydrotech Lawn & Garden Burst Proof Hoses following at least 222 instances of the hoses bursting, including 29 injury incidents.
According to the organization, the tremendous noise of the hose bursting prompted five reports of momentarily impaired hearing, two sprains, and a bone bruise.
From January 2021 until April 2025, the hoses were offered for sale across the country at stores like Walmart, Target, Home Depot, Ace Hardware, Do It Best, and Amazon. The range of prices was $20 to $136.
In case you missed it, millions of well-known above-ground pools have been recalled because they pose a risk of drowning following several kid fatalities.
Hoses in different colors and in lengths of 25, 50, 60, 75, 100, and 200 feet are covered by the recall.
Consumers are being advised by officials to cease using the recalled hoses right now. For a complete refund, customers who bought the hoses from Ace Hardware, Do It Best, Home Depot, or Walmart should return them to those establishments.
According to a statement posted on its website, customers who bought goods from other merchants should cut off the regulator end of their hose and get in touch with Winston Products for a complete refund.
