According to court filings, police reported that on Sunday night, Sean Charles Dunn accosted a group of US Customs and Border Protection officials on 14th Street in Northwest Washington, DC, calling them Nazis. Dunn allegedly yelled obscenities at a CBP officer during the confrontation, asking, “Why are you here?” You’re not welcome in my city!

According to the police, Dunn then went across the street but came back and tossed a sub sandwich at the officer’s chest. Then, according to the records, Dunn tried to flee but was taken into custody.

During processing, Dunn allegedly admitted, “I did it.” According to the paperwork, I hurled a sandwich. The charge against Dunn is assault of a federal police officer.

Court records did not identify Dunn’s lawyer.

DC’s US Attorney In a video posted on X, Jeanine Pirro praised Dunn’s arrest on Wednesday, stating, “We’re going to back the police to the hilt.” Put your Subway sandwich somewhere else, then.

The police are not there to be beaten or pushed around, Pirro stated in a statement to CNN. They should not be mistreated because they have a job to complete. You can rely on me to support the blue.

The White House has been contacted by CNN for comment.

The event occurred after President Donald Trump, claiming that violence in Washington, DC, is out of control, ordered more federal law enforcement agents to the city late last week. However, after reaching a peak in 2023, violent crime has decreased over the last two years, according to city figures.

Trump intensified his efforts on Monday, deploying the National Guard and seizing command of the city’s police force. It is anticipated that the troop presence would increase Wednesday night, a White House official told CNN.
