The victim informed the detective that she and Travis had driven from Idaho Falls to the Valley Wide County Store in Rexburg.

Travis allegedly accused the woman of stealing his phones while they were in the store and told her to research waterboarding because that’s what would happen to her.

According to reports, Travis also threatened to kill the victim if she didn’t accompany him.

Travis reportedly parked his white 2014 Ford F-150 next to the river after the two traveled to Beaver Dick Park. The victim claims that after they both exited the truck, she informed Travis, “I’m not going anywhere with you.”

Travis allegedly threatened to slit the victim’s throat and stab them until the police arrived, while brandishing a knife at the victim.

The woman claims that as she tried to walk back to Idaho Falls by getting her bags from the truck, Travis allegedly approached her from the side, grabbed her by the right wrist, and stabbed her in the palm of her right hand with what she described as a black 6-8 folding hunting knife.

Court filings state that the woman fell to the ground after turning away from Travis and feeling something strike the back of her head.

According to reports, Travis left the victim at the park and went back to the truck.

The woman suffered a 3/4-inch puncture wound that did not pass through her hand, according to police reports. Additionally, there were allegedly two footprints on her shirt and red markings on the lower left side of the victim’s back.

The Madison County Sheriff’s Office issued a statement later on Sunday indicating that Travis was wanted in relation to the stabbing. The Idaho Falls Police Department found him in Idaho Falls on Monday, and he was taken into custody at the Madison County Jail after posting a $500,000 bond.

The victim was given a no-contact order, and Travis is scheduled to show up for a preliminary hearing on June 25.

He might spend up to 55 years behind bars if found guilty.

Travis may not have done these offenses, even if he has been charged with them. Until someone is proven guilty, they are all presumed innocent.
