CLARKSTON, WA A man was arrested late Tuesday night in Clarkston after reportedly breaking into a motorhome without authorization, stealing a pair of shorts, and being discovered in possession of methamphetamine and other drug paraphernalia. He is now facing a number of charges.

Rocky Brian Cole, 42, was taken into custody by Clarkston Police around 11:50 p.m. on Tuesday in the 1000 block of Port Way, according to court filings made in Asotin County Superior Court.

When the claimed victim got home and discovered Cole in his camper wearing Barker’s red basketball shorts, he called the police. He informed investigators that earlier in the day, before leaving his motorhome, he had locked it and thought Cole had gotten in by squeezing open a small window close to the entrance. He claimed that after going through his possessions, Cole left the motorhome in a state of chaos.

Cole was found by the police wearing the red shorts. When asked, Cole first said that since the motorhome was unlocked, he believed it was okay to enter. He allegedly provided contradictory accounts later on, claiming to have gone inside to clean before claiming to be searching for water. Cole admitted that the victim might have owned the shorts.

At the scene, Cole was taken into custody. Officers allegedly discovered a transparent plastic container, two glass pipes, and a piece of folded foil hidden in a bandage placed against Cole’s inner thigh inside his leggings while he was being booked at the Asotin County Jail. Using a field narcotics analysis test, a tiny quantity of a white, crystal-like substance found in the container turned out to be methamphetamine.

Cole was charged with possession of a controlled narcotic, possession of drug paraphernalia, and residential burglary.
