The Idaho Statesman, or NAMPA A missing-person inquiry has been launched by Nampa police, and the woman’s family has appealed to the public for assistance.

According to Alexis Tovar’s family, she never came home on Monday night. The Idaho Statesman was informed by the Nampa Police Department that investigators are looking into the matter.

In an email to the Statesman, Hayley Greenwell, who has been helping the family, stated, “Her family and community are very concerned for her safety, and we are trying to raise as much awareness as possible in hopes of locating her.”

According to a social media post by her brother, David Tovar, Tovar left her mother’s house in Nampa at 10 a.m. on Monday, stating that she had plans to visit a lake with friends. According to her brother, she then texted her mother at 10 p.m. to say she was dropping friends off in Boise and would be home shortly after sending her a picture of a fish at 7:30 p.m. from what might have been the Snake River.

According to Greenwell, Tovar’s mother received a message that made her safety extremely concerned.

According to David Tovar, her mother received a concerning message on Alexis’ phone at 6:30 a.m. the following day. The statement expressed regret for acts and a wish to seek assistance from a trusted local hospital support staff.

According to David Tovar, Alexis hasn’t been seen or contacted by the family since.

According to her brother, she is not replying on any platform and her phone seems to be off.

Greenwell stated Alexis Tovar, 31, weighs 125 pounds and stands 5 feet tall. She was last spotted sporting a gray tank top, blue jeans, and white Nike sneakers. She has brown eyes and brown hair.

According to Greenwell, she drives a 2010 dark red Dodge Charger with license plate 20 60610.

Her brother can be reached at 208-968-8753, and the Nampa Police Department can be reached at 208-465-2257, option 1.

The Statesman asked for more details, but neither David Tovar nor Greenwell responded right away.

As detectives gather additional information, the Nampa Police Department promised to provide an update.
