(CNN) Authorities say that professional wrestler Hulk Hogan passed away from a heart attack.
According to a cremation approval summary report given with CNN on Thursday by the medical examiner’s office in Pinellas County, Florida, Hogan’s official cause of death is listed as acute myocardial infarction, which is just a heart attack.
Additionally, the medical examiner’s office verified that Hogan, whose real name was Terry Gene Bollea, had a history of blood malignancy and an abnormal heartbeat, all of which are listed as contributing factors to his demise. It was decided that his death was natural. In an email to CNN, the office stated that Hogan’s primary care physician certified his death and that neither an autopsy nor an examination was conducted.
According to what authorities previously told CNN, Hogan passed away in Florida last week after police and firefighters arrived at his house after receiving a report of someone experiencing cardiac arrest. He was seventy-one.
After receiving treatment from fire and rescue personnel, he was taken to Morton Plant Hospital, where he was declared deceased. In a subsequent press conference, police stated that an investigation is still underway and that there were no indications of suspicious conduct in his death.
