High in-demand career education has CSI expanding across the Magic Valley

Idaho’s Twin Falls With several initiatives in Twin Falls and Jerome, the College of Southern Idaho is growing.

According to Chris Bragg, CSI’s Vice President of Institutional Effectiveness, we broke yet another record last year.

CSI is committed to offering job training that is in great demand. The campus is overflowing due to the high demand for training and education, partly due to the Idaho Launch Program.

“We served over 17,000 students at CSI over the course of the year (last year),” Bragg continued.

More space and improved facilities are required as enrollment rises.

Two projects on the CSI main campus are almost finished. The new Transportation Technology Center, which costs $15 million, is one of them.

“Our Diesel Truck Program, Agricultural Diesel, and Heavy Diesel Programs will be housed in this facility,” stated Spencer Cutler, Executive Director of Facilities and Maintenance at CSI. “The building itself is on track to be completed by the end of next month, and students will start classes there in January 2026.”

However, there are other ongoing projects on campus’ north end. More room is also needed for the expanding Health Sciences and Human Services Building.

We are growing to make room for more parking because, of course, we have a lot of well-liked programs there that have experienced significant growth, Bragg said.

The Twin Falls main campus is not the only location of CSI’s growth. With two major expansion projects under way and another set to be opened soon, the Golden Eagles are becoming an essential part of the community in Jerome.

We’re making good progress on our Jerome building at 3rd and Lincoln. According to Bragg, “we have the groundwork set, and we anticipate beginning to serve students and the community from that location in about a year.”

Finally, the first-ever game of the CSI Golden Eagle men’s and women’s soccer programs in Jerome will take place on their new field in just one week.

According to Bragg, the City of Jerome will hold a ribbon-cutting event in a week. “Our women’s soccer squad and men’s soccer team will play after the ribbon-cutting. They will play their first games on the new field at Jerome’s Founders Park. Bringing intercollegiate athletics to Jerome across the river excites us much.

With the ribbon-cutting and the historic Golden Eagle soccer matches to follow, the grand opening of Founders Park in Jerome is set to begin at noon.
