Fugitive arrested on suspicion of murder in Idaho shooting

BOISE (Statesman of Idaho) A man wanted on a California warrant was taken into custody and deemed a suspect two days after Christopher Holloway was shot dead on the Boise Bench.

According to a news release from the Boise Police Department, the guy was presented with an arrest warrant on a murder charge on Thursday.

The body of 23-year-old Christopher Holloway was discovered in a parking lot on N. Dalton Lane late on Sunday night. James Martinez, 43, of Nampa, was named as a suspect in an ongoing investigation and is currently being held in the Canyon County jail on charges of shooting Holloway.

According to the announcement, Boise police and the Nampa Police Department were able to arrest Martinez on Tuesday while they pursued the murder investigation after learning that he had a California parole violation warrant. Charges have been brought against two other individuals for allegedly helping Martinez.

Martinez is rumored to be dating a 40-year-old lady who was detained on charges of criminal solicitation to commit a crime.

According to the announcement, a 63-year-old woman who is related to the suspect will be charged with harboring a felon. They are both felonies.

According to the police release, Holloway and the 40-year-old lady were acquaintances who had a disagreement before the incident.
