CULDESAC, Idaho A 53-year-old Culdesac woman was taken into custody on Monday after two different police calls led to the discovery of suspected methamphetamine paraphernalia and accusations of assault against deputies.

Court documents state that deputies initially called Jennifer P. Stokes on July 28 in response to a tip that she had disposed of trash and was allegedly stalking a car at a residence on Chambers Road. Stokes was recognized by the property owner, who asked that she be removed from the area.

Stokes was allegedly trespassing at another house on Peer Lane when deputies were summoned. According to the authorities, she was shouting and acted aggressively when someone approached her. Stokes allegedly tossed a cup of water at both deputies and shoved one in the chest as they tried to speak with her. She then reportedly fell to the ground and kicked at them while they were attempting to handcuff her.

Deputies allegedly found a glass pipe with a burnt white residue and another clear glass pipe in Stokes’ handbag after taking control of the situation. According to the report, the items were consistent with drug paraphernalia that is frequently used to smoke methamphetamine.

Stokes was taken to the jail and charged with one misdemeanor count of refusing or obstructing cops, two felonies of violence against specific persons, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

On July 29, 2025, the accusations were finally filed in Nez Perce County Court.
