Colorado’s Grand Junction. At Grand Junction’s Suplizio Field, the Idaho Falls Chukars won their sixth straight game Tuesday after hitting six home runs, including two from Trevor Rogers.

With a two-run shot to right, Tyler Wyatt got it started (5). Rogers began his huge night with a solo homer (6) to complete a five-run inning for the Chukars, and Benjamin Rosengard added his own two-run bomb (6) in the second.
Grand Junction responded immediately in the lower half. and led 7–6 going into the fifth inning after scoring in the third and fourth.
Only one ball left the yard in the fifth inning, off the bat of Gabe Vasquez (6), but ten Chukars crossed the plate as Idaho Falls sent 14 batters to the plate. Vasquez was mostly responsible for the damage, scoring four runs in the fifth inning alone with a double and a homer.

But the homer-loving Chuks weren’t finished yet.
In the sixth inning of his four-hit, three-run, five-RBI night out of the lead-off position, Garret Ostrander smashed his first home run of his PBL career. In the ninth inning, Rogers scored his second long ball of the game (7), capping the offense’s successful night.
The offensive explosion was directed at starter Connor Harrison (W, 4-2) who, in his six innings pitched, held the Jackalopes to four earned runs (a total of seven runs).
Alejandro Espinoza and Dante Zamudio combined for seven runs in the seventh inning before Luke Hempel slammed the door with the last seven outs.
The Chukars and Jackalopes will resume their seven-game series on Wednesday night, including a doubleheader on Saturday to make up a game that was canceled due to bad weather on June 6. The first pitch is at 6:45 p.m.
