Russell Dickerson, who is hosting the 18th ACM Honors for the first time, and Carly Pearce, who is returning for her fifth year, announced the first round of performers.
This year’s ACM Honors, which will take place at The Pinnacle at Nashville Yards on Wednesday, August 20th, will feature notable recipients like Eric Church, Luke Combs, Jelly Roll, Cody Johnson, and more. The Academy of Country Music also honored Lori Badgett, Jessie Jo Dillon, Mac McAnally, Rissi Palmer, Randy Travis, Twisters, Ben Vaughn, and Lainey Wilson as other honorees.
Luke Bryan, Russell Dickerson, Karen Fairchild of Little Big Town, Amy Grant, Ashley McBryde, and Pearce are among the first confirmed performers for the star-studded evening, which has been dubbed the country music industry’s favorite night. At a later time, more presenters and performers will be revealed.
In a statement, Pearce stated, “I’m thrilled to be hosting ACM Honors for the fifth consecutive year.” I have a special place in my heart for this night because it brings attention to the musicians, songwriters, and industry voices that enable what we do. One of my favorite nights of the year, in fact. Co-hosting with Russell Dickerson, one of my oldest friends in Nashville, will be such a full circle experience.
Dickerson stated that presenting ACM Honors for the first time, particularly at The Pinnacle in the center of Nashville, is a true honor. Giving recognition to the people who work behind the scenes is the main goal of this evening, and I’m honored to be a part of it. The opportunity to collaborate with Carly and honor the field we adore will go down in history.
According to a news statement earlier this month from Kerri Edwards, chair of the ACM Special Awards committee, each of this year’s honorees has been crucial to the development of country music. We can’t wait to honor these deserving individuals at The Pinnacle in Nashville next month, which will include some of the greatest songwriters most influential executives in country music. All of the honorees deserve congratulations.
