Car show, food and other activities happening at Idaho Falls fundraiser

IDAHO GOES DOWN On Saturday, June 21, there will be a fundraiser for Camp Hayden, a summer camp program for people with disabilities.

The Park Avenue Grill, located at 3950 South Yellowstone Highway, is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

According to Michelle Perez, one of the fundraiser’s organizers, Camp Hayden is named after a boy who was born with microlissencephaly. For those who might find it difficult to appreciate the things that the rest of us take for granted, his family established a nonprofit organization that funds a camp. It’s a fantastic program for children.

The fundraiser is an all-day event that includes food vendors, a car show, craft booths, and kid-friendly activities. A prize drawing has also been arranged by the organizers. In addition to participating in other family-friendly events aimed at raising money for the camp, attendees can purchase raffle tickets to enter the drawing.

Additionally, there are still openings for anybody who would want to have a craft exhibit or take part in the automobile show. It costs $15 to pre-register for the auto show and contest, and $25 to register on the day of the event. Depending on size and whether power is required, craft booths can cost anywhere from $30 to $90. To obtain registration details, send an email to [email protected] or text (208) 589.1365.

“I’m proud to be a part of that journey,” Perez said, adding that Hayden’s parents made unique toys for him and established an atmosphere that encourages discovery in everyone. In order to generate adventure for everyone, I hope the community will band together and attend this event.
