IDAHO GOES DOWN According to a statement issued on Wednesday, the Bonneville County Sheriff’s Office is looking into a number of thefts and burglaries that have occurred from storage units, cars, and small buildings in recent days.

Deputies have received complaints of items being removed from storage containers in the Idaho Falls and Ammon region, including tools, a 1980s Honda CR60 motorbike, and other stuff.

Residents of the Swan Valley area have reported finding tools and other equipment stolen from sheds and small storage facilities, as well as fishing gear stolen from cars close to Snake River boat ramps and fishing spots, according to the Sheriff’s Office.

“Some of these thefts involved unlocked vehicles and buildings and may have been prevented,” the statement said on Wednesday. “Deputies are asking residents to make sure their buildings, homes, and vehicles are properly secured and locked at all times.”

Additionally, the Sheriff’s Office requests that citizens call Bonneville County dispatch at 208-529-1200 as soon as they notice any suspicious behavior.

According to the statement released on Wednesday, deputies are still investigating leads and suspicious information. However, anyone with knowledge about these crimes should report it anonymously online to East Idaho Crime Stoppers at www.IFcrime.org or by calling the Sheriff’s Office through dispatch.
