BOISE, ID All regulated hunt tags will be forfeited and put up for sale in the second drawing if they are not purchased by the deadline of August 1.
Purchases of regulated hunt tags must be made by August 1 at 11:59 p.m. MDT.
Verifying whether they drew a regulated hunttag and purchasing it by this time are the applicant’s responsibilities. Any controlled hunt tags that are not purchased by the deadline of August 1st will be forfeited and put up for auction in the second drawing, with the exception of unlimited and January hunts. There aren’t any exceptions.
If they already have an account, hunters who applied for controlled hunt tags for fall black bear, fall turkey, pronghorn, deer, and elk can check their draw status via Fish and Game’s licensing system.
If a hunter already has a general season tag, they must exchange it for a controlled hunt tag at a Fish and Game office. Online exchanges are not possible, and tags sent to an office must arrive by August 1st at the latest.
The Controlled Hunt Results webpage provides detailed guidelines for those without an online license system account. Additionally, hunters can purchase tags and view their findings at Fish and Game offices, any licensed merchant, or by giving (800) 554-8685 a call.
