In a news conference Wednesday afternoon, announcer Kade Rogge stated that the War Bonnet is his favorite rodeo, even though he gets to attend 30 other rodeos in a year.
According to Rogge, this rodeo is a live, breathing phenomenon that originates from the city and the people who work behind the scenes. Right now, this is the ideal location for you to be.
Despite the War Bonnet’s claims to be the greatest medium-sized rodeo, announcer Marty Campbell believes otherwise. According to him, this rodeo has the vibe of the major leagues, and attendees will notice it.
Campbell stated, “We see some of the best in the world when we look through our day sheets, and they’re all here.”
Even though it’s his third year working the event, Blackfoot announcer Zach Eckstorm, a former contestant, said it’s still a dream come true.
This year, Rowdy the Rodeo Poodle and Backflip Johnny Dudley, a barrel man from Texas, will return to the Sandy Downs for the War Bonnet. In order to assist fill in the downtime between events, Dudley and Rowdy fly around the country to various rodeos. The two were last here in 2017.
For the three-day event, tickets are still available at www.warbonnetroundup.org.
Tickets for general admission on Thursday cost $22, while preferred seating costs $30. General admission tickets on Friday and Saturday cost $27 and $35, respectively, for reserved seats. Children aged three to twelve can purchase general admission tickets for $10 every rodeo night.
