According to ABCLos Angeles affiliate KABC, Lil Nas X was taken into custody early Thursday morning in Los Angeles on accusations of assaulting a police officer and was taken to the hospital for a potential overdose.

After being discovered wandering the streets naked, Montero Lamar Hill, better known by his stage name Lil Nas X, was arrested and admitted to the hospital. On video that was made exclusively available to TMZ, Hill was seen at 4 a.m. on Thursday strolling down the center of Ventura Boulevard in Studio City while wearing only a pair of white briefs and cowboy boots.

Officers came to the 11000 block of Ventura Boulevard shortly before 6 a.m. in response to complaints of a completely nude male, the Los Angeles Police Department told NBC News in a statement. The site is close to Vineland Avenue, just west of the 101 Freeway. When police got on the scene, the individual who was eventually identified as Lil Nas X reportedly charged at them, according to the police. According to the LAPD, he was arrested for battery on a police officer and taken to a nearby hospital for a potential overdose. According to a police source, Hill also struck an officer twice in the face during the altercation.

Booking records were not immediately available in the Los Angeles County database, and officers were uncertain if Hill was under the influence of drugs or experiencing mental instability.
