BOISE Idaho gas pumps have had a wild week, and there may be more to come.
A gallon of standard petrol costs $3.51 on Monday, the average price in the Gem State, according to AAA. This is two cents less than it was a week ago, four cents higher than it was a month ago, and eight cents fewer than it was a year ago. While prices declined elsewhere in the state, they increased by two cents in the Boise area.
At $3.13 per gallon, the national average is currently the same as it was a week ago, but it is two cents lower than it was a month ago and 28 cents lower than it was a year ago. Idaho remained in seventh place for the most costly fuel for another week.
It goes without saying that the Treasure Valley is a major source of demand for gasoline in our state. According to Matthew Conde, public affairs director for AAA Idaho, “it’s busy out there, whether people are commuting or just passing through.” Depending on how eager families are to take a final summer vacation, this week’s gas price hotspots and cooldowns could fluctuate.
According to AAA, Labor Day weekend traffic may approach or possibly surpass prior travel records for the holiday, given the record travel for Memorial Day and the Fourth of July this year.
Crude oil prices have decreased, and U.S. refineries are continuing to produce at a steady pace. Conde stated that both are beneficial. When we pause this week to fill up, we can experience some relief if the pattern holds. There may be some upward pressure if demand spikes. It could be quite touch-and-go.
