Hot weather returns

Published On:

Greetings on this Monday morning! Get ready for some heat as we have a warm week ahead of us.

Expect dry, sunny weather with temperatures in the mid-90s today. Temperatures will rise through the middle of the week as a result of a westward-moving upper high that is concentrated over Nevada, Utah, Colorado, and Arizona.

With highs in the upper 90s to triple digits along the valley floors, Tuesday will mirror the weekend.

As a weak trough crosses the Canadian border, temperatures will drop a little on Wednesday and Thursday of next week. By late Tuesday, monsoon moisture will start to move northward into southern Idaho, but not enough to cause storms until later in the week.

With highs in the upper 90s by the weekend, the heat is back, and there’s a chance of isolated thunderstorms and a higher risk of wildfires due to another rush of monsoon moisture.
