Idaho’s Boise County One individual was killed in a two-vehicle collision that occurred Friday at around 7 p.m., according to Idaho State Police (ISP).

In Boise County, the collision occurred on State Highway 21 (SH-21) close to milepost 49.

Two passengers, a 22-year-old and a juvenile from Marsing, were riding south in a 1997 Saturn SL1 driven by a 19-year-old Homedale woman on SH-21 when the car went off the road. The driver eventually brought the car back into the road, but not before crossing the center line into oncoming traffic and colliding with a northbound 2014 Ram 3500 pickup truck.

The driver of the Ram truck was a 59-year-old man from Kuna, and the passenger was a 64-year-old woman.

An air ambulance was used to take the Saturn’s driver to a neighboring hospital. An ambulance on the ground carried the little traveler. Due to injuries received in the incident, the adult passenger passed away at the spot.

The juvenile was buckled up in a child safety seat, but neither of the adults in the Saturn was wearing a seatbelt at the time.

The Ram pickup truck’s two passengers were not in need of medical transport because they were both buckled up.

For around four hours, all lanes of SH-21 were blocked due to the collision.
