BOISE Idaho State Police have been informed that a woman from Marsing died in a collision on Idaho Highway 21 on Friday evening.
The two-vehicle fatal incident that happened at 7:03 p.m. on Friday, August 15, at southbound ID-21 at milepost 49.5 in Boise County is being looked into by ISP.
A 1997 Saturn SL1 carrying a 19-year-old Homedale woman, a 22-year-old female passenger, and a juvenile passenger from Marsing was heading south.
Two passengers, a 64-year-old woman and a 59-year-old man from Kuna, were operating a 2014 Ram 3500 truck in the north.
According to an ISP report, the Saturn ran off the road and returned to the road, crossing the center line into oncoming traffic and colliding with the Ram.
Both the youngster and the driver of the Saturn were sent to nearby hospitals via ground ambulance and air ambulance, respectively.
The youngster was buckled up in a kid safety seat, while neither of the adults in the Saturn was using a seatbelt. The ISP report stated that all of the Ram’s passengers were buckled up.
According to an ISP investigation, the Saturn’s 22-year-old female passenger passed away at the scene of the collision.
The Ram’s occupants were not taken anywhere.
The Idaho State Police are still investigating this event.
