REXBURG A popular ice cream vendor recently opened its first storefront in eastern Idaho.
In Rexburg’s Hemming Village, Creamy Daze debuted on August 5 at 175 West 2nd South, Ste. 103. Previously held by Teton Bagel (which relocated three doors down in the former Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory building), it shares a space with BarberPop Shop.

Creamy Daze sells eight varieties of dairy-free Dole Whip in addition to hundreds of Blue Bell Ice Cream scoops and milkshakes with toppings. One of the most popular flavors, according to owner Taylee Brinkerhoff, is salted caramel brownie, EastIdahoNews.com reports.
In 2021, the company made its debut in the Idaho Falls Best Buy parking lot. Brinkerhoff chose to eliminate the rolled ice cream sweets that were initially available at her first retail location.

Making rolled ice cream begins with scratch. All of the items are required, and I simply couldn’t manage to take my kids around (while undertaking a time-intensive work). “If we want to continue doing this, we need to find the best scoop ice cream,” Brinkerhoff explains. We found Blue Bell, and it s the best out there, and we re excited to have it here.
According to Brinkerhoff, the food trailer is still available for catering at weddings and other occasions even though it is no longer in front of Best Buy. In the summer, she also operates a second food truck near Jefferson County Lake.

At first, Brinkerhoff thought this would be a pleasant family project. While traveling to Provo, Utah, with her spouse, she came across a company selling rolled ice cream after seeing some footage of it on social media. They are excited to observe how it has changed after five years of operation.
Every year, it simply gets better and better. Everyone has been enjoying it since we started offering scoops, which make getting out easier. When this space popped up, it just fell into our laps, and we had to do it, she says.

She enjoys the Hemming Village location since it’s in the heart of town, close to college students, and just a short distance from Porter Park.
Brinkerhoff hopes to eventually open another storefront in Idaho Falls after the Rexburg location is established.
Creamy Daze is open from 11:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and it closes at 11 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.
