IDAHO GOES DOWN Nearly two months have passed since a man in Idaho Falls lost his life in a domestic dispute.
Due to the silence of prosecutors and law enforcement, there are still little details available concerning the occurrence.
The incident happened at the intersection of South Lee Avenue and 7th Street at 7 a.m. on June 7, according to the Idaho Falls Police Department’s initial news release.
Officers responded to the first allegation of a domestic disturbance and found a 23-year-old male dead after being brought to a nearby hospital. His identity is still unknown.
According to IFPD spokeswoman Jessica Clements, the Idaho Falls Police Department has finished its investigation and is currently awaiting the findings of the autopsy. The prosecutor will be given the results of the inquiry and the autopsy to review. Given the circumstances of the incident, we anticipate that (Bonneville County) Prosecutor Randy Neal will decide whether to file criminal charges.

In addition to waiting for the cause of death reports, Neal told EastIdahoNews.com that the inquiry is still ongoing in his office.
Although an autopsy was conducted, he said that no preliminary findings were provided, which is unusual. Since the forensic pathologist’s work is handled by the Ada County Coroner’s office, he predicts it might take months.
According to Neal, obtaining a cause of death is essential in order to proceed with a case and bring charges. Other elements, such analyzing the crime scene and witness interviews, have been finished, though.
As of yet, no one has been charged or taken into custody.
The news release states that the IFPD considers this to be a singular incidence.
