Ingredients
Regarding the chicken:
- 2 large boneless skinless chicken breasts (sliced in half to make 4 cutlets)
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1 tsp hot sauce optional, for flavor
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
Regarding the breading:
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup cornstarch for extra crunch
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp paprika
- 1/2 tsp cayenne optional, for spice
To fry:
- Vegetable oil or peanut oil for frying
To serve:
- 4 brioche or sandwich buns toasted
- Pickles
- Mayo spicy mayo, or comeback sauce
