All passengers had left the cars, with the exception of Harker, who was still inside; the cause of the collision is unknown.

Harker was declared dead at the spot despite intensive lifesaving efforts by emergency personnel and bystanders who attempted to free the woman and started CPR.

The Rexburg Police Department and Idaho State Police provided assistance at the scene and are still supporting the investigation. According to the announcement, we are appreciative of the people who stopped to help and those who dialed 911 right away following the collision. There are currently no additional details available. The Harker family has received the sincerest condolences from the Madison County Sheriff’s Office.

On behalf of their family, Harker’s son, Michael Palacios, gave an interview to EastIdahoNews.com.

I can’t think of anything to say about my mother. I’m still in shock about what transpired that day. Despite losing her, my stepdad and my brothers survived, according to Palacios, who believes she had a very lovely soul. Please remember to pray for my family and me. I will really miss my lovely flower.
