Victim in fatal Minidoka County car crash identified

Paul Two pickup trucks collided at a crossroads in Minidoka County, and the victim of the deadly collision has been identified.

Roger Curtis Davis, 55, of Paul, was identified as the crash victim by Minidoka Coroner Lucky Bourn. Blunt force trauma was the cause of death. According to troopers with the Idaho State Police, Davis was not using a seatbelt.

In Minidoka County, Davis was traveling south on North 600 West in a 1992 Ford Ranger. Davis’ car collided with a 2024 Ram 2500 after the driver refused to stop as he proceeded through the intersection with West 200 North.

The 39-year-old driver of the Ram was transported to the nearby hospital in a private vehicle because he was not wearing a seatbelt. We don’t know his condition.

At the scene, Davis passed away.

According to reports, rescue personnel cleared the scene in three hours.

The Idaho State Police are still investigating the collision.
