In an email sent Wednesday night, the sheriff’s office stated that Mr. Howell had been found and was safe. We are grateful for the public’s support.

AMMON In search of a 48-year-old man who is missing and in danger, law enforcement is requesting assistance.
At before 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Benjamin Howell, a man with a developmental disability, left a residential facility located at 17th Street and Curlew Drive in Ammon, according to a news release from the Bonneville County Sheriff’s Office.
Howell, who weighs 229 pounds and is 6 feet tall, has curly dark hair that is slicked back, a goatee, and was last seen wearing dark clothes.
According to the announcement, Howell may be confrontational due to a number of developmental and mental health difficulties.
Anyone in the general vicinity of 17th Street and Curlew Drive is being asked by deputies to keep an eye out for Howell and call dispatch right away at (208) 529-1200 if he is spotted.
