IDAHO GOES DOWN A local man has been taken into custody and accused of having pornographic material about minors and engaging in indecent behavior with a youngster.

Luke Birch, 24, was charged with one felony offense of indecent conduct with a child under the age of sixteen and ten felony counts of possessing child sexually exploitation materials.

Birch might spend the rest of his life behind bars if convicted.

On June 26, Birch was taken into custody during a traffic stop.

A detective started looking into cybertips from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children in April, according to court filings. According to a cloud server firm, someone was uploading pornographic material to their systems.

On April 1, a total of eighteen films were uploaded. According to court documents, the cybertip specified five of the movies, which showed females between the ages of five and fourteen engaging in sexual activity.

A phone number that traced back to Birch was supplied by the cloud server provider.

Birch was linked to more than 30 more cybertips, totaling 140 pictures or videos. On Birch’s account, four thousand obscene photographs were discovered. Twelve more videos included artificial intelligence and sexually graphic hentai cartoons.

Birch was then identified by officers as a suspect in a case involving an alleged sexual encounter with a 14-year-old girl.

The text exchanges between Birch and the victim are described in the document.

In the back-and-forth communications, Birch begged the victim to locate a girl who was between the ages of 14 and 15.

Two films of the victim engaging in oral sex with a man—whom Birch said was another person he picked up—were discovered.

According to court documents, Birch acknowledged viewing child porn. He allegedly denied that anything obscene had happened. He reportedly asked for legal representation and admitted to the investigator that he was asleep at the time.

Birch responded that approximately 35% of the photos are child porn. Although he denied ever uploading sexually explicit content to obtain additional photographs via Telegram, it was alleged that he obtained the images using the app.

On July 8 at 1 p.m., Birch is expected to appear before Magistrate Judge Jason Walker for a preliminary hearing.

Birch may not have done these offenses, even if he has been charged with them. Until someone is proven guilty, they are all presumed innocent.
