The County of Madison The names of the two people who perished in separate deadly accidents on Sunday have been made public by Madison County officials.
Motorcycle Crash
The 23-year-old Rigby resident who passed away early Sunday morning was identified as Brody Garner by Madison County Coroner Sam Butikofer.
Around 1 a.m., Garner was traveling west on 7800 South in a 2025 Kawasaki EX500 when he crashed after failing to handle a bend, according to a news release from the Idaho State Police.

Despite wearing a helmet, Garner passed away instantly.
The Madison County Sheriff’s Office, Madison County Fire and EMS, the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office, and Air Idaho provided assistance to the Idaho State Police.
Rollover Crash
Thomas Ray Archibald, 69, of Rexburg, was the driver in the deadly collision on Idaho Highway 33, according to a news release from the Madison County Sheriff’s Office.
The news release states that deputies were called to a crash near the Sportsman’s Gun Range on ID-33 at approximately noon on Sunday.

When deputies got on the scene, they discovered that Archibald’s car had made an unsuccessful attempt to pass a truck with a trailer that was turning south on East Butte Road.
Following a collision with a truck, Archibald’s car veered off the road and into a ditch.
Until emergency medical assistance arrived, deputies and bystanders performed cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) on the driver of the second vehicle. According to the announcement, the motorist was eventually declared dead at the scene despite efforts to save his life.
Investigations into the crash are still ongoing.
