REXBURG A grand jury indicted two defendants in a 2021 home invasion murder case, but they will not be executed.
Ryler Jensen, 28, and Anthony Dean T.J. Wilson, 33, are accused with first-degree murder and first-degree murder conspiracy. They allegedly conspired with 21-year-old Pierre Lake to murder Ralph Brian at his residence in the 300 block of North 12th West in Rexburg, according to investigators. Karen, Brian’s wife, was repeatedly stabbed but managed to survive.
The day following the September 2021 attack, Pierre Lake, the case’s main suspect, was taken into custody. In January 2024, he entered a guilty plea to first-degree murder and was given a sentence of 30 years to life in jail.
Wilson was also charged in May with a second crime, a murder conspiracy to assassinate a Teton County magistrate judge and the county sheriff.

During their arraignments in front of District Judge Steven Boyce on Thursday, Wilson and Jensen entered not guilty pleas to all charges.
The court was also told by Madison County Prosecutor Rob Wood that he would not be pursuing the death penalty in either case.
The jury trials for both suspects are set to last for a week. Ryler’s is slated on November 3 and Wilson’s for November 17.
Both might spend the rest of their lives behind bars if found guilty.
