Fire burning near Inkom

INKOM According to the Bannock County Sheriff’s Office, there is another fire in Bannock County, this one close to Inkom, in addition to the one that is burning on the west bench of Pocatello.

A fire was reported Thursday at approximately 11:40 a.m. in the Upper Rock Creek Area, close to Jackson Creek and Nestor Road, according to the sheriff’s office, which spoke to EastIdahoNews.com. On Thursday night, it remained uncertain how big the fire was.

The Inkom, McCammon, and Lava fire departments’ deputies and firemen are attempting to contain the fire. For traffic control, search and rescue is available.

Residents of a number of homes are on standby, but no evacuations have been recorded. The cause is being looked into.

Residents are being evacuated from the area along West Clark Street on Pocatello’s west bench, which is in the path of the other Bannock County fire.
