ROBERTS After a recent power outage caused a severe reduction of water pressure, the city of Roberts issued an urgent caution telling all residents not to drink or boil tap water.
According to a city notice, the outage might have jeopardized the water supply’s safety. It is unsafe to boil water because some pollutants may not be eliminated.
Residents are recommended to:
- Do not drink tap water or use it for cooking, brushing teeth, or washing dishes.
- Do not boil tap water. Boiling is not effective and may increase risk.
- Use bottled water for all consumption and hygiene needs
Water pressure has been restored by city workers, but safety evaluations and water quality testing are still ongoing. Depending on test results, authorities anticipate that the problem will be fixed in two to five days.
The message said, “We appreciate residents’ cooperation and understanding during this emergency.” Please let your neighbors know about this, especially those who don’t have access to electronic mail.
Residents are asked to phone (208) 228-3220, visit the city of Roberts’ official website, or check their social media accounts for the most recent information.
